This is an image of a string of wooden slat lobster traps approximately 1 meter ( 3 feet ) long and 50 cm ( 20 inches ) high. Note the white acoustic shadow of the 0.95 cm ( 0.375 inch ) line joining the lobster traps. It is possible to see some of the slats but no lobsters. Sonar imaging frequency is 500kHz.
