Notes on the wreck:

The O.J. Walker was built in 1862 in Burlington Vermont. The schooner-rigged Walker is an example of a Lake Champlain sailing canal boat, designed to sail on the lake and, with masts removed and the center board raised, to travel through the Champlain Canal.

On May 11, 1895 a servere wind storm caught the captain Mrs. Rock and her crew off guard. The boat heavily laden with brick and tile began to leak severly, the crew abandoned ship in a small rowboat. The boat tipped and spilled much of its cargo before sinking in 65 feet of water.

Wreck size: 86 feet long and 14 feet wide
