The Anschütz Rudder Position Indicator Equipment is suitable for seagoing ships of every kind and size. The basic system, which can be extended with up to nine repeater indicators, transmits the actual rudder position to the steering stand and control station of the ship. As a component of the Anschütz NAUTO CONTROL System, it can be completely integrated into the system technology of the Anschütz steering control system.
The rudder angles of mechanically independent twin rudder equipment can be indicated on single or tandem three-face indicators either as an average value or as individual values. In conjunction with an Anschütz steering control, it is possible to install an additional transducer in the Anschütz feedback unit.
Principle
Transmission of the actual rudder position is carried out via a precision potentiometer (conductive plastic potentiometer) by the rudder angle transmitter. The indication of the three-face rudder angle indicator is formed by a follow-up circuit in which the servopotentiometer and rudder angle signal (110 V DC) are compared.
The signal for the step motor of the three-face rudder angle indicator is taken from the voltage difference. The rudder angle repeater indicators are operated by the electronics of the three-face rudder angle indicator via an analog voltage signal. The equipment has a test input through which a rudder angle can be simulated C/s deflection).
